Resonant effects in the C13 + O17 reaction

Abstract

Structure is observed in the yield curve for the 871-keV γ rays of O17 from the C13 + O17 reaction but absent for other observable transitions. The single-particle nature of the O17 transition suggests an interpretation in terms of the nuclear Landau-Zener effect.
