Abstract

C12(K±, K±) and Ca40(K±, K±) 800 MeV/c elastic scattering data are analyzed within the framework of Kerman-McManus-Thaler theory. To that purpose the elementary t matrix is derived directly from the K±N experimental observables. The relative sensitivity of K+, K, and 1 GeV protons to the neutron density distribution is investigated.
