WKB solutions for carbon-carbon scattering at 204.2, 242.7 and 288.6 MeV are performed utilising a simple optical potential obtained by folding the projectile and target densities with the energy-dependent free nucleon-nucleon interaction. With no arbitrarily adjusted parameters, surprising agreement with recent experimental results is obtained.
