Abstract

The dominant role played by the effective interactions in angular momentum states with J=0, 2 vis-á-vis the structure of the yrast states in the 2s1d and 2p1f1g shell nuclei is pointed out.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE Effective interactions in J=0, 2 states. Structure of the yrast bands. Exact shell model calculations for O2022, Ne20, and Ni60.
