Abstract

The mass-doublet-scale based energy of the 6129-keV γ ray of O16 is reevaluated in light of a recent determination of the deuteron binding energy. The result is 6129.142 ± 0.032 keV. No serious descrepancy exists between this result and a recently measured value based on the wavelength (Au) standard.

RADIOACTIVITY O16, deduced energy of 6129-keV transition based on mass scale.
