Abstract

Excitation functions were measured at θlab = 13° between Ecm = 22.8 MeV and 38.6 MeV for the reaction 20Ne(16O, 12C)24Mg to the low-lying states of 24Mg and 12C. Strongly correlated resonance-like structures are observed. Angular distributions of the ground-state transition at the resonance energies can be reproduced by PJ2(cos θ) shape with J-values ranging from 18 to 25.
