Abstract
The cross sections for the reactions (,)* (, MeV; , MeV, and , MeV) at incident momentum MeV/c are calculated in the distorted wave impulse approximation. Multiple scattering effects are taken into account by means of the -nucleus elastic scattering amplitudes. The results are compared with recent data for the reactions leading to the and states. The difference between the angular patterns of the cross sections for the and scattering is mainly due to the fact that the scattering amplitude depends strongly on the momentum transfer compared with the amplitude.
NUCLEAR REACTIONS (,)* (, 4.44 MeV; , 7.65 MeV; , 9.64 MeV), MeV/c, calculated in DWIA, distortion effects through -nucleus elastic scattering amplitudes.
