Abstract

Measurements were made of dσdΩ [θπ=90°(lab)] for B10(γ,π+)Be10 (g.s.) at Tπ=17, 29, and 42 MeV, for B10(γ,π+)Be10 (Ex=3.37 MeV) at Tπ=29 and 42 MeV, and for B10(γ,π)C10 (g.s.) at Tπ=29 MeV. The results disagree significantly with several recent distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS B10(γ,π+)Be10 (Ex=0,  3.37 MeV), B10(γ,π)C10(Ex=0), θπ=90° (lab), Eπ=17, 29, 42 MeV, measured dσdΩ, compared with DWIA calculations.
