Abstract

A semiclassical theory of heavy-ion transfer reactions developed in our previous paper is applied to the analysis of the energy spectra, angular distributions and polarizations of outgoing particles. We treat reactions involving transfers of one, two and seven nucleons, and one and two α-particles. A one- or two-step process is assumed. A straight-line trajectory of relative motion is used in most cases. But better agreement for the polarizations can be obtained if we assume that the incident ion rolls around the target nucleus for a short time interval.
