Abstract

We have measured the cross section of He3(π,π0)H3 at T=285, 428, and 525 MeV for angles in the range of 60°θ135° covering the momentum transfer range 0.5q1.0 GeV/c. Comparison is made with Glauber model calculations to discuss the sensitivity to nuclear structure and pion-nucleus interaction effects.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS π+He3H3+π0, T=285, 428, and 525 MeV, θπ070140°; measured σ(θt,Tπ). Analysis based on optical and Glauber model predictions.
