Abstract

The hyperfine structures of the muonic He3 atom (He3μe) and the muonic He4 atom (He4μe) are calculated with the use of variational wave functions. Relativistic and radiative corrections are included. The theoretical hyperfine structure interval is Δν=4166.8±0.3 MHz for the muonic He3 atom, and Δν=4465.0±0.3 MHz for the muonic He4 atom; these values are in good agreement with the experimental values.
