Abstract

In a study of the system O16+ Ca48 at Elab(O16)=158.2 MeV, we have measured elastic, inelastic, and single-nucleon transfer cross sections to resolved final states, and the non-fusion reaction cross section. The measured cross sections to resolved states generally agree with the predicted magnitudes and angular distributions from exact finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation calculations. The total non-fusion reaction cross section, σNF, is measured to be 0.660.07+0.27 b. These results are compared with other studies made at different bombarding energies, and for other systems.
