Abstract

We have performed two independent measurements of the B11(p, γ0)C12 reaction over the energy range of Ep=514 MeV. The two measurements are in good agreement with each other and indicate that the previously accepted results are in error. The new values for the γ0 cross section reported here resolve several outstanding conflicts. Their implications are discussed.
