Abstract

Angular distributions are reported for 0.8 GeV proton elastic and inelastic scattering from N14. The data are analyzed with the optical model using a spherical Woods-Saxon potential and the distorted wave Born approximation with collective form factors.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS N14(p,p), E=0.8 GeV; measured σ(θ); natural targets; resolution 100 to 200 keV, θc.m.=5.6 to 32.0°. Optical model potential, DWBA analysis, inelastic deformation lengths, βlR.
