Abstract

The O16(Li6,d)Ne20 and Si28(Li6,d)S32 reactions have been studied at 75-MeV bombarding energy. The angular distributions have been analyzed with exact finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation calculations assuming a direct α-cluster transfer. The calculations account for the shapes of the experimental angular distributions reasonably well. For the O16(Li6,d)Ne20 reaction, the extracted relative α-particle spectroscopic factors for the Ne20 ground state band are in good agreement with theoretical predictions, while those for the O excited band are in disagreement with them. For the Si28(Li6,d)S32 reaction, spectroscopic factors are extracted for low-lying states of S32 and compared with those from other α-transfer reactions. Some strongly populated states have been observed at high excitation energies of S32.
