Abstract

The nuclear structure of high-spin states in Ti46 and V46 has been investigated using the Ca40(Be9,2pn)Ti46 and Ca40(Be9,p2n)V46 reactions. Excitation function, angular distribution, recoil distance, Doppler shift attentuation, and γγ coincidence measurements were undertaken. Some additional data on Ti46 from the Cl35(O16,αp)Ti46 reaction are included.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Ca40(Be9,2pn)Ti46, Ca40(Be9,p2n)Ti46, E=2045 MeV; measured σ(E,Eγ) and coin; deduced levels; measured σ(Eγ,θ); deduced Jπ for high spin levels; measured RDM and DSA; deduced τ, |M(E1)|2, |M(M1)|2, |M(E2)|2. Natural targets Ge(Li) detectors.
