Abstract
Excitation functions of the 13C(9Be, alpha )18O*(0.0, 0+ and 1.98 MeV, 2+) reactions at theta lab=15 degrees , 35 degrees , 45 degrees and 65 degrees (125 degrees for some energies) have been measured in the energy region Elab=8.0-22.75 MeV. A statistical analysis (correlation and deviation functions) of the data has been performed; the analysis has revealed four strongly correlated anomalies of an intermediate width. An estimate of the probability of the statistical origin for these anomalies indicates that they may be regarded as possible resonance candidates, especially the one at Elab approximately=12.25 MeV.
