Abstract
Decay of ( min) was studied by -ray spectroscopy. The Np sources, prepared by the (,) and (,) reactions, were chemically separated and purified. Eleven rays, mostly new, were observed between 42.0 and 929.7 keV, and their intensities per disintegration were determined. A decay scheme for is proposed which helps to elucidate the level structure of . Comparison with nuclear reaction data is used to identify a octupole vibrational state and to characterize some of the other levels.
