Abstract

The energy dependence of the reaction cross section and the corresponding tensor analyzing power has been measured for the system Li7-V51 by two different methods. The tensor analyzing powers observed can be interpreted in a sharp-cutoff model as caused entirely by the static deformation of the Li7 projectiles.
