Abstract

All the members of the h112 rotational structure have been observed in Tm69159 up to spin 492+. The alignments of these bands relative to the core nuclei Er9068158 and Yb9070160 are presented. These data provide additional evidence that the second backbend of the yrast structure of the core results from an (h112)2 proton alignment.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Sm148(N14,3n)Tm159, E=68 MeV; measured γγ coin, γ(θ). Tm159 deduced levels.
