Abstract

The inclusion of the quadrupole moment of Li7 and Be9 in coupled-channels calculations removes the need to renormalize the real double-folded potential, obtained from an effective nucleon-nucleon interaction, for Li7+Fe54, Ca40 and Be9+Ca40 elastic scattering.
