Abstract

The theoretical analysis necessary to isolate the effects of nuclear and Coulomb interactions in admixing the three 4 states at 17.79, 18.98, and 19.80 MeV in O16 is presented. An isospin mixing matrix element of 110±10 keV is determined to be compatible with the recent pion and deuteron induced reaction cross sections.
