Abstract

Results from a study of the Be9 (t,α) reaction with 17-MeV polarized tritons, as well as an analysis of earlier results, lead to an assignment of Jπ=4+ for Li8* (6.53).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Be9 (t,α), E(pol.)=17 MeV, measured σ(θ), Ay for α group to Li8*(6.53). Analysis by CCBA leads to Jπ.
