Abstract

The ß-decay of the neutron-rich nuclides 85Se88Se has been investigated by γ-ray singles and coincidence measurements. The activities have been produced by thermal-neutron induced fission of 235U with subsequent chemical separation of the selenium fraction from the fission product mixture using an on-line gas phase procedure. A revised decay scheme for 85Se and partial decay schemes for 86–88Se are proposed.
