Abstract

Total fusion cross sections σF have been measured for C12+Ne20 in the energy range 24<Ec.m.<42 MeV using the ΔEE technique. The excitation function of σF shows only two structures at Ec.m.=29 and 38 MeV which seem of different origin than those observed in the O16+O16 system. The saturation value of the measured fusion cross section agrees with that obtained for other systems with nucleons in the sd shell.
