Fusion cross section of the 16O + 16O collision

Abstract

It is shown that the gross structure of the fusion cross section of the 16O + 16O collision is well reproduced by a simple coupled channel method including only elastic and inelastic 16O + 16O(3) channels, as well as the excitation functions of the elastic and total inelastic 16O + 16O(3) cross sections.
