Cross sections for the reaction O16(γ, p0)N15 at forward angles for Eγ=80 MeV

Abstract

Via the reaction O16(e, p0)N15 cross sections for the transition O16(γ, p0)N15 have been extracted at angles θp=5°40°. Whereas a modified quasideuteron model fails to describe the data, a calculation of Gari and Hebach with the inclusion of spin currents comes close to the results.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS O16(e, p0)N15, Ee=80 MeV, measured σe(Ee, θ), deduced σγ(Eγ, θ); BeO target.
