Abstract

Data are presented for He3+He4 elastic scattering at Ec.m.=60.2 and 113.1 MeV. Both angular distributions show pronounced backward angle peaking, largely due to single neutron exchange. Both optical model calculations including a Majorana exchange term and coupled reaction channel calculations including single neutron transfer provide a reasonable description of the experimental data but do have some difficulty reproducing the region of interference between the direct and exchange processes.
