Quadrupole moments of even-even (sd) shell nuclei in the band-mixed Hartree-Fock model

Abstract

The static quadrupole moments of 21+ states in N, Z even (sd) shell nuclei are calculated using a multiconfiguration projected Hartree-Fock model, particular emphasis being placed on 26Mg, 30Si. Results are compared with recent reorientation experiments and good agreement throughout the (sd) shell can be interpreted in terms of intrinsic shape mixing.
