Abstract
It is shown that all absolute calibration data of the analyzing power of the reaction below 6.75 MeV agree well within a 1% uncertainty. This is contrary to the conclusions drawn by Dries et al. The reason for the alleged discrepancy is discussed. An extended calibration curve for deuteron energy up to 40 MeV is presented.
