Abstract

It is shown that all absolute calibration data of the analyzing power T20(0°) of the He3(d, p)He4 reaction below 6.75 MeV agree well within a 1% uncertainty. This is contrary to the conclusions drawn by Dries et al. The reason for the alleged discrepancy is discussed. An extended T20(0°) calibration curve for deuteron energy up to 40 MeV is presented.
