Abstract

The particle-particle angular correlation method is applied to the reaction C12(Li6,d)O16α+C12. Deuterons were detected at θdlab=10°. Information on the reaction mechanism is obtained by analyzing the shape and the angular shift of the experimental data. A dominant direct transfer mechanism is found for the primary reaction. The ratios Γα0Γ and the α-reduced widths γα0 are deduced.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C12(Li6,d)O16α+C12. ELi6=34 MeV; measured W(Ωd,Ωα); confirmed Jπ for O16 levels. Evaluated Γα0Γ and γα0. EFR-DWBA and HF analysis.
