Abstract

Prominent intermediate structure correlations are suggested between C12+ C12 elastic and reaction channel excitation functions over a wide range of energies above the Coulomb barrier. The associated resonant states in Mg24 would have large partial widths to elastic, inelastic, and α+Ne20* channels.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Correlation analysis on C12+ C12 resonance channels. Deduced positions of intermediate structure states in Mg24 and C12, Γ(C12+C12) strength function.
