Abstract

Low-lying levels of Tc100 have been investigated with the reaction Mo100(p,nγ)Tc100 in the energy range 4 MeVEp6.8 MeV. Gamma-ray cascades have been studied by means of γγ coincidences. Two isomeric states have been identified, namely the 200.6 keV (4+) state with τm=11.8±0.1 μs and the 243.9 keV (6+) state with τm=4.7±0.3 μs. An upper limit τm4 ns has been assigned for the mean life of seven other levels.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Mo100(p,nγ), Ep=46.8 MeV, pulsed beam; measured Eγ, γγ coincidences, delayed γ. Two Tc100 isomers observed, deduced life-times. Enriched target.
