Abstract

A nonresonant diffraction-model calculation is found adequate to describe the gross-structure behavior thus far observed in the ${}^{12}C$ + ${}^{12}C$ and ${}^{16}O$ + ${}^{16}O$ inelastic scattering excitation functions.
