Abstract

The cross section for fusion of B10+O16 is found to differ markedly from that of C12+N14 for bombarding energies in the range 3 to 9 times the fusion barrier. This difference exceeds that expected on the basis of calculated or measured nuclear density distributions for these nuclei.
