Abstract
Alpha-structure amplitudes are presented in the mass-number region 16<or=A<or=28. The shell-model wavefunctions used for the description of the nuclear states represent an inert 16O core and N=A-16 valence nucleons in the sd shell. They were obtained in full configuration mixing calculations in most cases. The results are in reasonable agreement with previous predictions based on pure SU(3) configurations.
