Abstract

The exact finite-range, distorted-wave Born approximation was used to compute He4(p,d)He3 cross sections at Ep=770 MeV. The transition form factor was tied to measured electron-He4 scattering and the calculated cross sections were insensitive to uncertainties in the distorting potentials. The calculated angular distributions do not reproduce the data.
