Inner part of the Li6 + C12 optical potential

Abstract

The Li6+ C12 elastic-scattering cross section is sensitive to the interior part of the nuclear potential. This is in marked contrast to scattering with heavier ions where the scattering is determined entirely by the surface region.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Optical model calculations for elastic scattering of Li6+C12 at Elab=5.8 and 59.8 MeV.
