Abstract

Differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of He4 from He4 at 158.2 MeV are presented. These data along with data from lower energies are analyzed within the framework of an optical-model potential.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS He4(α, α), Eα=158.2 MeV; measured σ(θ), θ=10°94° c.m.; optical model analysis.
