Abstract

The spectra of O18 up to 6 MeV is explained in terms of the classic valence (two nucleons) plus four particle-two hole deformed state model but with a basis of the full p and sd shells. Electromagnetic and nuclear (pp) transition data are used to test the credibility of the associated wave functions.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE O18, calculated Jπ transition rates, multideterminant projected Hartee-Fock method. Used in (p,p) data analyses.
