Abstract

Excitation functions for the C12 + Be9 system have been measured for the elastic, inelastic, alpha particle, and Be8 exit channels from Ec.m.=10 to 15 MeV. Resonances with widths of approximately 800 keV were identified at center-of-mass energies of 11.2, 11.5, 12.6, 13.8, and 14.5 MeV.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Measured dσdΩ for Ec.m.=10 to 15 MeV for C12(Be9, Be9)-C12 (g.s., 4.43 MeV) at θc.m.100° to 151°, Be9(C12, Be8)C13 at θc.m.13° to 75°, and C12(Be9, α)O17 at θc.m.19° to 70°. Determined energies and widths of resonant enhancements.
