Abstract

Differential cross section measurements are given for the isospin related reaction channels O16(p,t)O14(g.s.) and O16(p,He3)N14(2.31 MeV) for several proton energies near 29 MeV. The isospin mixture of the exit channel changes significantly with small changes in bombarding energy. Distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations reproduce the changes reasonably well. Calculations show, however, that compound nuclear contributions might be large.
