Search for Neutral-Weak-Current Effects in the Nucleus F18

Abstract

The circular polarization of the γ rays from the 1.08→0.0 MeV transition of F18 has been measured to be (-0.7 ± 2.0) × 103, a value significantly smaller than predicted by recent calculations which include the effects of neutral weak currents.
