The inclusive scattering of $K^{+}$ mesons on ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$ is calculated in the plane wave impulse approximation. The momentum distribution employed for ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$ and different reaction mechanism approaches are checked by a comparison with data of a calculation of the inclusive scattering of electrons on ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$.
