Abstract

Elastic and inelastic scattering were measured for beams of 100-MeV B10 and 155-MeV N14 on targets of C12 and O16. These data and previously measured one-nucleon transfer data for the same four incident channels were analyzed simultaneously. A single set of optical potential parameters, fitting all the elastic scattering data, was obtained. Distorted-wave Born approximation analyses of the inelastic and transfer reactions were also done with this potential, resulting in good fits to the data. The common features in all of these peripheral collisions are emphasized.
