Abstract

Fusion-evaporation reactions induced by a beam of 25-50 MeV B11 on an isotopically enriched Ca48 target have been used to populate high-spin yrast levels in Mn5456, Cr56, and V5253. Measurements consisted of γ- ray excitation functions, angular distributions, γγ coincidences, and recoil-distance and Doppler shift lifetime measurements, from which were deduced the energy levels, γ-ray branching ratios, most probable spin-parity assignments, and level lifetimes.
