Abstract
Based on the Hartree-Fock calculations reported earlier, the ground-state properties of even-even nuclei in the shell are investigated within the generalized BCS approach employing , , and pairing correlations and the modified Yale and supersoft core potentials. Comparisons are made with similar less sophisticated calculations reported earlier for the same nuclei using the Yale potential.
