Abstract

The heavy-ion reactions (α, 2n) and (O18, p2n) have been used to study by γ-ray spectroscopy the nuclei As71 and As73 with emphasis on high-spin states. Spin and parity assignments were made on the basis of coincidence measurements, angular distributions, and excitation functions. Level schemes for As71 and As73 have been constructed which contain a stretched spin band on a g92 state.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Ga69,71(α, 2n), Eα=1724 MeV; Fe56,58(O18, p2n), E0=4052.5 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, σ(E, Eγ), Iγ(θ), γγ coincidence; As71, As73 deduced levels, J, π; enriched targets; Ge(Li).
