Abstract

The Jπ=6+ and 7+ members of the Kπ=1+, 4p-2h rotational band in F18 are identified at Ex=9.472±0.010 MeV and Ex=11.074±0.020 MeV on the basis of their selective population in the N14(Li7, t)F18 reaction, on the basis of their measured excitation energies, and on the basis of comparisons between the angular distributions of these triton groups and the angular distributions of the triton groups corresponding to other members of this band.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS N14(Li7, t), E(Li7)=36 MeV, measured σ(E, θ), discussion of 4p-2h rotational band.
