Evidence for isoscalar giant resonance in the reaction 11B(p, α)8Be

Abstract

The backward peaking of the reaction 11B(p, α)8Be shows a wide resonant structure near Ex = 27 MeV corresponding to the isoscalar giant resonance found in scattering experiments for the 12C nucleus.
